- 5 fresh bratwurst
- 2 cans beer (or broth)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tsp Dad Spice “The Classic”
- Buns and mustard to serve
Instructions
- In a foil pan on the grill, combine beer, sliced onion, and Dad Spice.
- Simmer the brats in the beer bath over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Move the brats to direct heat and grill, turning often, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cook until browned all over and 160°F inside.
- Serve on buns with the grilled onions and mustard.
Dad’s tip
Keep the heat at medium, not high, so the casings brown slowly instead of splitting.
Grab the seasoning.
