Two friends, one Father’s Day gift, and a spice blend that got out of hand.
Dad Spice is a small-batch, steakhouse-style all-purpose seasoning called “The Classic.” It blends smoke, citrus zest, and earthy celery seed — with no artificial additives or preservatives — and works on steak, burgers, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables and more. It’s made and shipped from the USA.
How it started
Dad Spice began the way a lot of good things do: two buddies messing around in the kitchen, mixing up seasonings for friends and family. Everyone kept asking for more. For four years the requests didn’t stop — so one Father’s Day, one friend gifted the other the domain “DadSpice.com” as a dare to finally make it real.
After months of testing on meats, potatoes, popcorn, and even guacamole, they landed on the recipe they call The Classic: the robust flavor of a first-rate steakhouse, grounded with the earthy note of celery seed and brightened with a hint of smoke and citrus. Familiar, but mysteriously hard to place.
